This work style has a lot of benefits, but it comes with many challenges related to communication, collaboration, velocity, and most importantly, connecting as humans and not just work robots.

This talk aims to share remote team best practices from industry experts as well as the hard earned pro-tips and lessons learned that I gained from managing a large open source project, a global open source foundation, and now a fully distributed team at Google. It covers:

- Best practices for building a remote team
- Ways to create a human-centric team
- Real world pro-tips and lessons learned
