One of the toughest aspects of successfully running an app in Kubernetes is exposing your app to clients. Kubernetes provides a variety of networking options, all with their own pros and cons. In this talk, you'll hear why you'd use Ingress over NodePort, how to set up an ingress controller on a public cloud, and how to configure it using ingress resources. We'll talk through common use cases and pitfalls that we've seen over the last 3 years, including ways to make service more reliable through routing configurations. We'll be hacking up the YAML live and showing some quick shortcuts to making your Ingress work for the very first time.
